We love reading and aim to support, develop and deepen the culture of reading in the West Midlands. We create exciting reading opportunities and experiences for readers, through different project strands.

 

Events
We offer exciting reading events for reading groups, in public libraries, with arts and heritage venues, and in collaboration with literature festivals. These events might involve special readers’ days, discussions, book-swaps or book-doctor sessions (where you might get a new reading prescription). Most importantly, they are a chance for readers to share a love of reading with others.

 

Readers in Residence Programme
Our Readers in Residence collaborate with local library authorities and independent bookshops to offer a special programme of creative reading activities. These events and activities take place in community settings and invite readers to experience literature in new ways.

If you are a member of a reading group and have books lists and recommendations to share, we’d love to hear from you. We know that there are hundreds of reading groups across the Midlands, all with their own unique features and ways of operating.  Let us know if you are a member of a reading group and would like to write for us about your group.
